Tolu Onibiyo


Tolu is passionate about giving back. He strongly believes that education is one of the critical foundations to escaping poverty.  He understands the value of scholarships and the opportunity it provides to high-potential students who may otherwise not have the means to get said education. Tolu serves as a key Adviser in the effort to advance our education, science and technological innovation programs.

Tolu brings in more than ten years of experience leading the delivery of critical enterprise software platforms in the Financial Services industry. He has held a number of roles in the technology space on Wall Street where he implemented new technology platforms that drove efficiencies and helped realize cost savings. His experience includes technology product development for trading, post-trade processing as well as wealth management for ultra-high net worth clients.

As a VP in J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank, he helped launch multiple proprietary products leading to $499 million in new assets in a 9-month period and $6 million in estimated annualized revenue. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Tolu was a Senior Engineer at Credit Suisse Group AG where he implemented the bank’s Trade Capture platform for Equity & Fixed Income Securities trade processing to reduce risk after the 2008 financial crisis. With the platform handling an average daily volume of 7 million trades worth billions of dollars. Before joining Credit Suisse, Tolu held various engineering positions at Morgan Stanley and Corning Inc. In addition to his technology background, Tolu brings extensive knowledge in financial analysis and business development.

Tolu holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Howard University and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
