2018 Quiz Competition
The Founder and CEO of BAF, a Nigeria and United States based nonprofit organization, Dr. Bayo Arowolaju Jr. has organized and initiated a quiz competition for the second year in a row. The competition which cut across all the schools in Ekiti East local government area of Ekiti State Nigeria attracted commendations from school authorities, parents, students and other relevant stakeholders in and out of the local government, Ekiti State, Nigeria and around the world. At the grand finale of the competition which took place in Omuo Ekiti, the Director of Education of the foundation Engr. Kehinde Olusuyi reiterated the commitment of Dr. Arowolaju to improve academic performances in the State and to make the best performing students a role model for their colleagues.
In his Symposium remarks, Dr. Arowolaju said BAF is determined to reposition education especially in areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) by identifying academically talented students through transparent and healthy competition among the teeming students as well as rewarding excellence accordingly. He promised to continue to organize more quiz competitions, debates, workshops, symposiums, sports competitions and scholarship awards for public and private schools to encourage and improve the desire of students to enhance their knowledge and the pursuit of academic potentials. Dr. Arowolaju Jr. stated that these programs and many more will be rolled out on a continuous basis and are meant to render selfless service to his community. He pointed out that the quiz competition is an avenue to develop the potentials and engage youths in fruitful activities that will make them useful to the society apart from promoting unity and fostering harmonious academic environment in Ekiti State.
During the Award Ceremony held on the 31st December 2018, the overall best student in the Quiz Competition, Adeniyi Adejuwon Samson from Methodist high school , Isinbode Ekiti went home with a Brand New 14 inch laptop and received financial scholarships to cover his WAEC, NECO, and JAMB Registrations , a gold medal and school plaque.
Other runners up in the Quiz Competition are: Ayodele Samuel from Omuo comprehensive high school and Oni Oyinlola from God’s brightest Pride academy Omuooke Ekiti went home with home with a Brand new 12 inch laptops, medals, school plaques and cash awards.
