“If you give some of your own food to [feed] those who are hungry and to satisfy [the needs of] those who are humble, then your light will rise in the dark, and your darkness will become as bright as the noonday sun”- Isaiah 58:10
The Bayo Arowolaju Foundation (BAF), friends and volunteers once again carried out its Annual Feed the Homeless Program in Washington DC, USA. This year, marks the 2nd year of this act of community services and show of brotherly and sisterly love to the less privileged in the society. This time, BAF reached out to the community during the Christmas season to provide those who need it most a meal and some holiday cheer! More two hundred (200) individuals were fed and received charitable services.
According to the Secretary BAF Board of Directors, Stacey Richardson Yonkers, the organization appreciates and gladly welcome time and/or monetary donations from volunteers during the event. She noted that as an IRS approved nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, all monies donated are full tax deductible. Additionally, BAF will provide community service certificates for time donated by students that will count toward community services hours needed for graduation.
