Stacey Richardson Yonkers currently serves as Secretary for the Bayo Arowolaju Foundation (BAF) Executive Board. She is responsible for advising the board on policies and governance issues; and for the efficient administration and facilitation of meetings, activities and communications as they relate to the board. Stacey comes to BAF with 20+ years of U.S. federal government public service experience, focused in the areas of administrative and program management, strategic planning, quality assurance, research and evaluation.
As a respected and community recognized leader, Stacey serves as a board member for Math Beatz, a non-profit program for school-aged children that merges math, music and the performing arts to boost math comprehension, creativity and self-esteem in Washington DC, U.S.A. She also serves as Parent Board Representative, and Resource Development Committee Chair on the Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy Public Charter (MMBDA) School Executive Board, and is Fund Raising Chair with the MMBDA Parent Teacher Organization in Washington DC Metropolitan Area, U.S.A.
Mrs. Yonkers earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at Virginia Commonwealth University, and is a Management and Program Analyst with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Citizenship and Immigration Service.
Stacey is married, has two amazing boys and is passionate about family, education, and supporting capacity building in the community through mentorship and social action initiatives.
